Simply put, this is too complicated.  Multiple skills on 1 card is clunky.

i catched your card on the chat. as a fan of Poe:

maybe you just go for a Raven card ( :darkness or  :death )
i like the idea of:
Raven ability: nevermore -- if raven is destroyed, it generates another raven (nevermore!)

maybe Raven = 3/1 darkness creature for 3  :darkness
nevermore needs 2 :death

I think you should make a "Raven" card... It'd make it easier for us to throw some ideas in...
The fact of being complicated doesn't make it impossible, so I like the duo-skill idea ;D

Make it two cards, one with the skill red death and one with raven. They turn into each other when you use their skill.

His skill changes. Skill 1's side effect makes it change to skill 2, and skill 2's side effect changes it to skill one. At the time, he only has one skill.
