Sacrifice a creature you control: draw two cards.
ART:
EmeraldTiger.
Old arts viewable below.
IDEA:
UndeadSpider
NOTES:
Sacrifice will work just like targetting. After clicking the card you will first have to select one of your own creatures as if choosing it with Firebolt. Burrowed and Immaterial creatures should also be available for sacrifice. Once you choose a creature it will be destroyed and the spell will play (you draw two cards).
I find it difficult to believe that no one has posted a similar idea to this, but I don't see that it's particularly easy to find out, so here goes nothing.
About the name: I was going to call it Sacrifice | Sacrifice, but felt it would infringe a little on Shard of Sacrifice (albeit a :death card)
SERIES:
None

I love everything about this card :)  Not sure if the cost to card draw is balanced or not, but that's what discussion is for.  Given that you won't actually get any card advantage from this (this + creature = 2 cards which is what you draw) I'm inclined to either add 1 card to the draw or make it 1 cheaper on both versions.  (but not both)

This kind of reminds me a lot of immolation; sac a creature to get some sort of benefit.  Could also be fun in death/dark duos with bone wall and such.  Or even graveyard... :)  Given that immolation isn't OP in death duos, I don't think this will be, either.

Glad you like it :) You might find it looks familiar, seeing as you have a MTG card as your avatar, really the idea wasn't mine.

I thin drawing 3 cards would be a little OP. Consider a :darkness rush running a few Devourers. As I see it, they lose effectiveness later on, so this'd be perfect to recycle them and I think getting 3 new cards out of it is too much.

The quanta cost on the other hand I really don't know about! I feel like it should be cheaper (given the extra cost of sacrificing a creature), but I don't want to upstage Shard of Bravery. Thoughts on 3 :darkness | 2 :darkness? (In the original, it was 2 :darkness | 1 :darkness !)

First thought: OMG this reminds me so much of Yugioh's Ultimate Offering.

Looks at it for real:  Pretty dang sweet. Now, the question is, is it really worth 4 total Mana? I'm not convinced tbh.

Possible idea:
Unupped: Sacrifice an unupped creature you control...
Upped: Sacrifice an upped creature you control...

1) You have very clear notes.
2) FYI: Card Ideas cannot be accepted into the Crucible Polls until they have evidence (usually a link) showing the current art is usable.

Balance:
Precognition requires 1 card (itself)
Dark Offering requires 2 cards (itself and a creature)
Precognition draws 1 card (net 0 cards)
Dark Offering draws 2 cards (net 0 cards)
Dark Offering digs through the deck faster than Precognition and thus should cost more*
Precognition costs 2 :time|1 :time in addition to the 1 card requirement

*Dark Offering also costs the price of the sacrificed creature. However this can be as low as 0 quanta + the creature card.

So the minimum possible cost is 2 :darkness|1 :darkness + the Dark Offering card + the creature card + the quanta cost of the creature (usually 0).
However minimum in this case is used as a rough low estimate for the correct cost of the card.

Thanks OldTrees.

Unfortunately, the only thing I can say about the *EDIT: original* image is that it is almost certainly not usable. I'll do a search for something or I'll even slap something silly together myself, but I'm not artist. If anyone artistic is up to helping me out that'd be just swell (but I'm not holding my breath!) :)

*EDIT: New art chosen, but I'm still not 100% on the source.*

I'm knocking together a version with cost 3 :darkness | 2 :darkness. I feel 1 :darkness could get a bit abused, and 3 :darkness seems an appropriate expense for the unupped version.

@OldTrees and anyone else out there, how can I be sure if an image found online is usable or not? I've found a new image but this time I really have no idea how many times it's been reposted since it's creator put it online. See updated post now above.

Ooh, I actually prefer the whole image of the unupped card to the upped...

Image changed.

I think going off what I believe you yourself said (EmeraldTiger), I'll wait and see if this card can actually get anywhere off of mechanical merit before asking people for their time. I also played around with some of the free imaging websites and photoshops too (but that was just a waste of my own time!) My favorite image for this card so far was the Breaking Dawn one, lol. Chess seemed like such a winner. But anyway... Bump. Lol.
