Dark Cavern/Depths https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=2963.msg24981#msg24981

This is a second pair of cards from my set of permanents that make creatures:

The first one is for light and is the light source/coherent source found here:
http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,2957.new.html

For this one, you pay a relatively high summoning cost (7) but then you get to churn out a lot of creatures. Which creature is random, and for some of them you'll overpaying or may be they will be unneeded. However, some  will  be dragons!

PS: The more I look at the card picture.. the less I like it.. would someone be willing to help get a better picture?

With dark do you mean darkness + death or just darkness?

Nice. It seems almost perfectly balanced - a very expensive starting cost but a profitable net generating cost. I'm envisioning a deck with 6 of this, several Eclipses, maybe some Steals and Drain Lifes. Niiice.

Man you're trumping all today with these amazing cards, congrats and keep it up.

Great ability and good cost as well. A balanced addition to a Dark deck and with these in all I need are Devourers I would never have to put any other creature into my deck. Hmm good idea.

Note: By balanced I do not mean that the cards cost is balanced just that it fits within the genre of darkness.

Thanks

I like the basic idea with permanents giving creatures of its own element but its to cheap, its 7 quantum which for many things are fairly expensive but since darkness have pest that also gives darkness quanta it wont be hard to get enough quanta, make it 10-12 instead. It can off course be destroyed but at 7 quanta it just need to last for 1-3 rounds to pay for itself.

OP.

Right off the bat.

It breaks one of the fundamental rules in the game, only 6 of each creature in a deck.  12 with PUs.  You can just sit there an spawn things all game.  I mean, imagine a field full of devourers?

Suddenly you don't have to upgrade every card to have a fully upgraded dark deck.  Just 6 devourers, six of these, some steals, some drain lifes, some nightfalls, and pillars.  Dropping six creatures a turn?!  And upgraded!  WAYYYY OP.

Not to mention that on the off chance you get a creature you don't like, you have an infinite supply of parasites to kill them off.  Sorry kid, that's just crazy.

For the upgrade.  That miiiight rebalance the cost, but the concept is still way OP.

Hmmm balanced?

There are only 4 darkness creatures.
The chance of a devourer is 25%.
The chance of a pillar about 33% for the opponent.
If some devs are on the field, the 7 darkness are nothing.
And the devs drain much quanta.
The 6 devs darkness can have drain enough quanta now from Mono-decks
That card is even better than FFQ, helps to generate quanta for further using of the ability, self healing, damage and drain quanta.

And it has an average damage/quanta use ratio of ((10+2+1+0)/4) / 3 =  ca 1.
Thats not really bad.

But I kind of like the idea.
I`m teffy, here - and Ringat on Kongregate

OK so just to clarify this would do the same thing as Malignent Cell, Boneyard and Graveyard and basically spawn out creatures so would bypass the 6 of any kind in a deck, in long thinking on it I would have to say that now I agree I first took it to be good but I think summoning a Dragon for 3 could be a little OP.

ANyway I still like the card.

Thanks

how about if it summons both death and darkness..  then you will have death creatures (including weak ones like virus/vulture/skellie) appear as well? again, summon cost might be 7 but call creature like 4..

Thanks for the suggestions Gl1tch, teffy, scyth, and all else !
