A death element themed twist on voodoo doll like mechanics.

The unupgraded version will only injure the owner while the upgraded version will injure both players.

Unlike voodoo doll, only damage is transfered, not statuses.

Healing will kill this creature. This is in place as a balancing measure to prevent combos like rage potion and overdrive from becoming too overpowered.
This will only trigger if a healing effect actually heals hps. E.g. your opponent cannot kill the creature with healing before it has taken any damage.

as far as i can see, this is a slightly different Voodoo Doll. Maybe change it up a little and buff the card? (Seems incredibly weak for the cost)

It is meant to require off-element synergy.

Ex. this + ragepotion yields a 10|2... or with accelerate it would gain +3|-1 per turn and overdrive would yield +4|-1 per turn...

Would buffing the ATK bonus help? E.g. if it were +2|+0 per point of damage ragepotion would yield a 15|2 instead. I thought that would end up OP though, even with the drawback of 10 damage to yourself...

Maybe then simply trying to reduce the cost to 3 upped?

at best use, i see this un-upd, does 12 damage to u creates a 12/1 for 4c.+upd rage. then hits them for 12.  upd one becomes a 12/2, hits both for 12. then hits them for 12. that's 24damage, for 2 cards. and if you have sosac that's +12 life for you on same turn. i think the cost you have this at; reflects its in element considerations. and limits many rush op options. such a volatile card should take some time to combo/get into play. to allow for opponent do deal with it. also fractal and pandemonium would dominate, if it was too cheap.  i like this card as a good defense against :life shield, and :fire shield. and could make snipe decks unwanting to kill it. although snipe would do 6damage to you while giving this creature +3 attack, the upd one of course doing 6 to both.

The def agains thorns and fire shield is a good point... I think bumping ATK to something non-zero might be good then...
