"Creature Reset" card? https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=498.msg4605#msg4605

Hey, I'd like to suggest the possibility of a card that resets a creature to the way it was when it first came into play, essentially removing it from the game and replaying it instantly. I think this would make a cool card because it could have both offensive uses (resetting the power on an Otyugh or turning off Armagio's Gravity Pull) as well as defensive/ recovery uses (getting rid of Poison or Congeal on a creature, or resetting its health if it has been hurt by Lightning or something like that). This would make the most sense as a time card, I think, since it's essentially turning back time, although I suppose it could be a water card too, from the "purification" aspect. Just getting the idea out there.

Cost: 4 Time Quantum
Name: Replay
Effect: Instantly recast target creature

Cost: 4 Water Quantum
Name: [can't think of one]
Effect: Instanly revert target creature to it's original state

Something like that?

It's a good idea, but I think that it might be a little overpowered with a lower cost.

Yeah, that's the idea. "Refresh" would make sense as a name if it was a water card, maybe? Eh, leave that to Zanz though, he does so much work on the game, we may as well give him the fun of naming his own cards :D

Hopefully the game is coded in such a way that this kind of thing is doable.

But what about mutated creatures?

I thought of that, too, and settle on them reverting back to as if they were RTed and then replayed, so they'd have their standard abilities, if any.

Overpowered? Hell no.  Its base cost should be less than reverse time, because the opponent does not have to pay the quantum cost again.  How would this work on animated weapons?  I think it should put the animated weapon back in the weapon slot destroying whatever is currently there.   It probably needs an element other than time.  I'm thinking light with a name like purify or cleanse or something.  Entrophy could also work (De-Evolution maybe?)

This is an excellent idea and should be added as soon as possible!

I also like this idea but I don't think it would be overpowered at all. Card like Rewind is useful in all situations. This card would only be useful if the opponent had some kind of growing character.

I suggested something like this in Scaredgirl's "make your own cards thread", and it was also called refresh, i was thinking it could be light and then changed to generic when upped, or stay light and work on all creatures on the field, as a way of removing buffs/effects from enemies and congeals or poison from you, but the only problem with it going back and then being re-played, is that when a monster is  first summoned it cannot use its ability, which would render (some) useless for the turn, but making the ability come back afterwards would be challenging too, because you could use the ability, refresh it, and re-use it, up to six times, and with some of the better characters, 6 uses can add up fast, if this was implemented the cost maybe should be higher? that way (if it were 5 quanta) it would have to be pretty late in the game to use, and one player would most likely already have his or her steup open, with a crowd control on the field, but if you can't take out that oty or golem on the first turn, then you could end up dealing with a 21/15 destroyer or a 7/12 oty with 7 less monsters on the field, but having all six would be hard to pull off at once, opinions?

I ask nothing of humanity but fairness in all things, but I do not expect even that.

But what about mutated creatures?
I guess that would work just like using dejavu effect on mutated creature - the creature has the same stats and card, but it's ability changes randomly.
