Seen it before, haven't I? Sounds fairly nice, even though Otyugh is much better.

Also...

Gastric Blast: Spell (2 Life quanta)
Shoots acid and vomit at a creature, dealing 4 damage and possibly poisoning.

One of the oldest cards I made.

The image of Gastric Blast should be extremely disgusting, thus allowing viewers to use the Gastric Blast ability themselves :D

Okay, okay, don't make me seem like I hijacked the thread. Comment on the Mantis.

Although simply vomitting wouldn't be acidic enough to deal 4 damage.

K, fine. :D

Umm... Mantis actually seems a bit overpowered. Very useful ability for only 2 life gives itself +1/+1, and it starts off with 5/5. It's basically a more powerful Arctic Squid - its ability is weaker but cheaper, and can also strengthen it. Also, its sheer attack power is great- after all, Abomination has the same stats as it with no ability, and costs the same amount. I would make his ability cost 3, nerf his stats, make him rare, or a combination thereof.

Vomit actually should be pretty acidic, because it comes from your stomach. Well, I don't know, I'm not a biologist. But vomiting can cause others to vomit at the sight of it, so how about this:

Gastric Blast: Spell (4 Life Quanta)
Deal 2 damage to target creature. Give it the ability "Gastric Blast" for 3 of its quanta.

As long as it can't corrode through the toilet when you throw up, no.

Capture works like procrastination on a creature. The creature it captures is procrastinated for 2 turns, if enchanted mantis isn't dead by then, it dies. then it gains +1+1... its not too lethal.
If the enchanted mantis dies before the 2 turns is up, the creature it captured is released and back to normal.
This being a rare card is a good idea, i changed the costs and power of the creatures, let alone made an upgraded version.
I would like to see this, but doubt it'll get into the game. I love the concept though, thanks for your inputs.
