So it looks like when I do best not to lowball a card I end up overdoing it and make it op now. LOL... I could drop the CC down to 2 or 3 I suppose.
The bypass shield was meant so that the player damage is a true double edge. If this is too strong, I could go with "ignore's owner's shield" instead. Then mirror shields still help the opponent but not you, making the double edge more sever.
As for the rise in immortal spam, what if the CC effect ignored immaterial status. I.e. there is no getting around its destruction. Would that help or just make it worse?
I understand aether has a lot going for it. My goal with this card was to be a "last resort" card or finishing move.
I can move it to another element if needed, but thematically, there are only a handful it fits in.
It fits in
but honestly, fire doesn't need it because it won't add anything new to it.
Similarly gravity already has PC, CC and many ways to bypass shields so thats not a good fit either.
Similar situation for entropy.
As has been discussed, air already has unstable gas.
It doesn't really fit in earth, life, water, or light.
That leaves darkness, death, or time... I'm not sure which to go with though.
