I don't know if personification is the word you are looking for.  Temper is used to describe the act of hardening, cooling, and solidifying, lava in this case, which works just fine I believe.

A "convert :death to mark" card would be very powerful with a :fire mark.

-This thread is going to be moved into the Series topic based on the thread title and table formatting - if you want the card idea to be moved up, you need to have the Card Series in the properly formatted tables (Blight is formatted as is, but the .gif isn't)


If you want, you can make a separate thread for the Conversion Series (and place links to all the card ideas/images there) to move into the Series board, while you can out the title and .gif card image here and just leave it as 'Blight'. :) This way, it's more organized and you'll have links between the two topics.

While some of the elements don't follow opposition pairings (:earth :fire &  :aether :gravity?), I can see the mechanics and usefulness of these conversion cards. Simple and clean. ^^

I would suggest to rename "Volcano" to "Eruption" in lieu with the name "Blight." A "Blight" is an event that causes a loss of vegetation and death, but a "Volcano" is a structure that causes the event, an "Eruption", where molten lava spews onto the earth.

A large portion of the card names are also verbs. I think that keeping all the names in the series as events(nouns) or verbs would be best because they are spells. Of course, nouns would be easier because there is no verb for "Blight" and "Dawn" but there are nounsgerunds for words like "Temper"(Tempering) and "Scramble"(Scrambling).

Good point, thanks there :) I'd change them if I had time, but right now I feel it would make little difference on if someone wanted to vote for them or not.
