I much prefer this idea to the original plan for the card. Although I think this suggestion could see a cost increase to 5|4 for balance reasons, it isn't instant-kill, and fits much better within the light thematic.

How about something like: Create a copy of target creature on your field, replacing any active with bioluminence.  Both copies have their attack reduced to 0.

This way it's not an instantkill - your opponent can still use the creature, as a Blessing target for example, and can still use any skill it might have.  And you get an extra hope shield raiser.

Yeah, it's a fairly obvious idea (I even stole the name from the MtG card that does pretty much the same). it is also just half an antimatter

Maximum ATK and current ATK are too different things.
Reduce implies it doesn't change the maximum ATK.
Change implies it does.
