NOTES: In honour of Team Light for War VI The ability while Confessor is played will appear with the name "Confession", and --can-- be lobotomized. When Confessor is played both hands are revealed, both players will be able to see cards in the hands of the opposing player. They will from that point on be able to play the cards of opposing players as long as the owner of the card has the quanta and they are not Silenced. Sanctuary will prevent the playing of its owners' cards by other players. e.g. Player 1 plays Confessor when Player 2 has 1 and a Chaos Power in hand. Player 1 may now consume 1 from Player 2 and use Chaos Power on their Confessor. Player 1 plays Confessor while they have a Photon on the field. Player 1 then plays Solar Shield and Nightmare on their Photon, then proceeds to play all the opponent's newly acquired Photons. Card Fortune: Today will be illuminating -- even enlightening. In a strange sort of way, it fits here as well though.

My only issue is that seems to have a claim on the "reaveal opponent's hand" mechanic...

All in all, though, I really like the card concept

There have been many claims (in chat, and really from 1-2 sources) that the skill could be far too powerful. Any thoughts on this? Would changing it to 1 card per Confessor per player be more balanced?

Yay! Now we can actually use the Neuro-Photon-Nightmare combo without having to rely on the AI's stupidity! :p

The card made me think that if you had the quanta, you could play the opponent's cards (which would make this a rather expensive rainbow card), but the example shows that you use their quanta, and they yours. (I thought Owner referred to the controller of Confessor).

Anyway, I also quite like this.

Possible fortune: If you only look, you'll see you have everything you need.

Posting for reference. It's amazing how people think of similar mechanics even if they don't see each other's work beforehand! This can only mean the forum wants to see the game go in a particular path.

Also, despite the fact some have worried about how strong this can be, I've recently thought of the fact that in the general case you will be getting first say as to how you target, so if you leave yourself with those cards in hand, prepare yourself for some unfortunate targeting.

There is one catch to that logic.
This card can be particularly nasty if combined with QC.

With QC in place, you could ensure, for instance, that the opponent will never have the option of targeting their AM because they will only get the needed quanta AFTER their turn ends.

Thus this card effectively turns QC into TC (Targeting Control).

I still think its an awesome card idea, but this is an important point to consider.

The QC-Confessor combo is like frustration in a bottle (I'm suddenly reminded of the schoolyard bully whom's favorite game was "Stop hitting yourself!"). The rage quit potential is very high there... Amusing to watch, but players on the recieving end will come to hate it very quickly if it isn't well balanced.

Sooo basically, both hands and quanta pools are open for either person to use?
Seems like a gateway to havoc and mayhem.
I'd personally divorce this effect from the creature, make it a permanent (or spell depending on how powerful the effect is.), and have another card that causes quanta sources to activate at the end of any turn, basically boosting quanta production beyond most methods of control, possibly.
Intriguing idea, I must say, and yet another one that could have incredible effects on the metagame in general.

I think there should be a cap on how much the player can manipulate the opponent's hand. Perhaps decrease the Confessor's hp by 1 each time a player casts an opponent's card? Though there isn't enough room to write that

Also, this seems pretty situational and particularly nasty in some instances... for example, using the opponent's SoSacs to kill himself.
