I can't endorse this card.  You're going to lock out 11.5 elements for three turns?  (The wording on the card also locks out Other, which I count as half an element.)  Think of how people chain Dimensional Shields...you're looking at a possible 18 turns of only Death doing anything, and if you're facing an opponent who doesn't have Death, well, it's pretty much game over.

I think it's meant to prevent non-death creature cards from being played, not only allow death creature cards to be played.

This is OP, it's a phase shield but than total denial. You cant destroy it, All other elements are ignored..... Just change the text on the card to: "you won."

Hmm? That doesn't quite make sense.
On topic, I personally am not a big fan of this mechanic. Preventing a whole element, let alone 11.5 elements from being played, or attacking in the upped is extremely OP, even if you had a high cost.

how about it gains charge counters per death then it has an activated ability that generates a darkness or death creature based on # of charge counters.
