Shield & Tower Shield cost 1 & 5, respectively for 1 & 2 pts of DR.  Plus, they only cost a single card each.  To match Shield, you're spending 7(okay, 4 for upped); to match Diamond Shield which costs 6 for 3, you're spending 15(9), 3 cards, and one of those could have been used to animate a weapon instead.  For 9 pts of DR, you're going to spend 23(14) and 5 cards...and you have to worry about PC and CC both.

Shield:  Reduces damage by N.
N = Number of Flying Walls.
3: Bring an animated Flying Wall into play.

The above fits into the text box...I'm not happy with it, but something like that to where it's pretty much self-reliant.  Animate Weapon shouldn't be absolutely needed to make another card worthwhile, and that's really my biggest issue with the card.  (BTW, if you change the name to Goo, you can fit 'N = Number of Goos in play' into the text box, and it fits thematically better.  Blob will also make it fit.)

Cost to bring it into play and to spawn a new FW are up for grabs.

My gut says the casting cost for the unupped is to high.

New cost is 3|2.
Now if you want 6DR (1 in shield slot + 5 flying) it's only 23 quanta total, and for 12DR (1 in shield slot + 5 flying) it's only 17 quanta total instead of the huge numbers it was before. If you want more DR, use PU.
Of course, to get that much, you have to draw them all.

What do you all think of adding, as a passive ability called Shrapnel, which does: Deals damage = to atk when killed. This gives it more use, as well as requires a buff of some type like blessing, chaos power, etc. Or instead of attack it would be hp.
Thoughts?

Wait, so does it come into play as a creature or as a shield? It has creature stats, but the text says "Shield".

Also, something that I didn't notice before - if Animate Weapon was to animate shields, would it need to target? If it does that might ruin a few synergies.

Shields use the normal permanent symbol, like weapons stats would not actually be shown until animated.
As for the second question, what's your opinion? Do you think it should?
I don't think so - like I said before it does ruin a few synergies, like Animated Morning Glory. It also makes it weaker since PA can be used to counter it. Also, my intuition seems to not like it either, which doesn't help very much.
