What do you plan to sacrifice in a Darkness deck?
Sacrificing devourers or bloodsuckers does not sound as an exchange worth 3 and a card, while adding photons or sparks gives a slower deck and risks bad draws.
Using the Dominator for that purpose seems slow and too easy to counter to be dependable.
