Not really sure exactly where to start with balancing this card… I based the cost loosely of of nightfall and eclipse, but suggestions and discussion would be welcome.

I think it should be able to, but I don't know if it would end up OP... was hoping to get some feedback on that

What makes eclipse strong is that you use lots of cheap darkness (and death) creatures with relative low attack + vampire ability to get a strong offence with eclipse as well as good healing with buffed vampires. That said, rush-stile.

When mutation is used rushy, you won't get many mutants, so the effect is weaker than eclipse. Also, you won't get vampire that often, so that makes it weaker than eclipse as well. (And it gives only half the attack of eclipse, so again, weaker.) And one more thing, eclipse will most of the time buff ALL your creatures (in mono dark, and death/dark duos) while this card only buffs a part of your army (the mutants)

When used by stalling, this card won't be of much great use because, if you can live with a mutant stall long enough, you will win anyway. (Looking at scaredgirls rainbow)

With all the things that I counted just now, if it stacks, I think it's pretty balanced, and if not, it's UP. (But that is just my feeling)

i think its a bit UP, maybe you could add +1/+1 for every creature on your side affected by pandemonium

That would only work with unupped pandemonium, so I am not exactly happy with something like that, also, This would instantly buff ALL your creatures whenever you play a pandemonium, and several times it you have several Chaos Theories out. That would make it pretty OP, letting alone that Pandemonium is pretty strong by itself already.

even if pandemonium get to affect all your creatures it would be ok. think that a card like eclipse do so with all of your  :darkness/ :death without the need of other card, while this card has no effect unless comboed
besides, many of your creatures will die during the pandemonium anyways

Hmmm... So adding in an interaction with mass targeting of some kind might be interesting then... what about:
"Mutation, Chaos Power and mass target effects add +1|+1 to affected creatures on your side. Absorbs :entropy each turn."

Or, if it becomes OP that way and needs a double edge effect:
"Absorbs :entropy each turn.
Mutation, Chaos Power and mass target effects add +1|+1 to affected creatures. "

i think that theme-wise, it would be better off just interacting with chaos power, mutation and pandemonium, otherwise, it would:
a- break the theme
b- be OP

I'm not sure if we don't have enough buffing cards already. But it's just my opinion.

Hmm...
So:
"Absorbs :entropy each turn.
Mutation, Chaos Power, and Pandemonium add additional
+1|+1 to affected creatures."

i think adding pandemonium to the list (only your creatures) with no drawback nor changing cost should balance the card (as its UP right now)
