Do you really want people to go to a dragon rush? I have a feeling it would be this vs. Shrieker rush.
How does the scale work? Is it a passive ability that happens every turn? (OP) Is there a summoning cost?( Maybe not OP).
The next feeling i have is that people will just go to fractal + dragonling - which is even faster than regular dragons, because this costs 7 of ANY quanta.

It seems that this will act as a nerf to dragons.

Dragons aren't used very often.

The scale is just a spell. It summons a dragonling and then goes away. Very simple.

Fractal + Dragonling isn't too bad of a problem because it takes 3 turns for the dragonling to grow into a full dragon, and their low HP makes them very susceptible to CC.

...Well crap. Completely forgot about that mechanic. I guess going mechanically and how the game is coded, it would give you a full dragon the turn you play adrenaline on it... hmm, how to counter this easily that doesn't cause a specific coding changing....

make the scale a perma with a counter of 3 turns then it gains the ability turn target dragonling into a full markmatching dragon and destroy itself.

That's not a bad idea, though I feel the theme sort of takes a hit with something like that.

Eh, using an adrenaline on a dragonling costs 2 cards and 7 quanta for a slightly more powerful dragon (since Adrenaline doesn't do much for it).. vs, say, 12 and 1 card for an upgraded Jade dragon.  I think this could be fixed simply by making the upgraded one cost one or two quanta more.  The fact that it's 2 cards should not be discounted.

Quantum Tower x 14
Sundial x 6
Dragon's Scale x 6
Fractal x 4

Only 7 quanta to play would allow a LOT of plays with fractal if you had Quantum towers..

Very good point indeed. I guess that justifies me raising the cost slightly.

That deck would still take a bit of time to pull off, during which time the dragonlings could easily be picked off. Talk about Oty chow Or just throw up a Grav shield and once they grow into aether dragons they'll be permanently stopped >.>

1) What is the mechanistic difference between a spell for 3 that creates a creature and a creature that costs 3 ? Are you just trying to dodge fractal/mitosis abuse or did I miss something?

2) Is the "grow" ability lobotomizable? (i.e. can I get a dragonling "stuck" as a 2/3)

1) I wanted to give it a longer play time + more card combo. Dragons aren't used too often and are pretty powerful so I wanted to provide a cheaper way to play them, but have the downside be time and easy to be ruined. Since Dragonling is a weak creature, it can be killed fairly easy in three turns, depending on the opponent's deck. If it were just a creature that grew into a dragon for 3 it would be a little bit closer to the OP side of the spectrum and more easily to be abused.
