the reason for mentioning air is that it has been increasingly marked as an offensive element, given its more recent additions.  i would not be shocked by a glass cannon to be added to air in any way shape or form.

the only basic card i can think of which has a higher atk than its cost (and isnt a 0 cost card like spark) is frog, and that has the outdated 'life creature bonus' in play, and it doesnt even have a skill/ability.  5 damage/turn for 4 basic with an ability does not make sense to me in any way shape or form, but its your card, do with it whatever you want.

But you can always draw it back with an Hourglass.

But that still makes it much less of a viable strategy, especially since you cant spam it several times without animates and multiple huorglasses (which also slows down yuor draw anyway)

Well, it also serves as a pseudo-protection against CC, since if it's killed, your opponent takes damage.
