The revision is a lot more interesting now that I think about it.
Against a single dragon, your shield barely does anything (
2 points of damage reduction, which is the same thing for a Titanium Shield). However, if you're fighting a FFQ + Firefly team, after generating a few fireflies, you're pretty much safe from then on, and it becomes and even stronger version of Hope (since you don't have to worry about bioluminescent creatures), especially since it
considers the weapon as a form of a damage source (23 creatures w/
generation < 23 creatures on opponent's side + weapon).
A slightly better idea... but honestly, Earth has way to many defensive permanents/shields/buffs at this point. I could use it, but it's probably not something I'd try to design multiple decks around, even if it's immaterial.
