x = cards left in your deck at the end of the turn or the total number of cards in your deck?
It would be a good early target for accelerate or gravity pull especially since it could be combined with rewind to keep your deck count high

Either say "Random chance" or "50% chance to"

Also might want to raise the cost a bit more on the upped version as it could be too strong otherwise in a 60 card deck.  The overall idea looks good though

why not just make both attack and defense X? max damage is 10 but most of the time it will be 5.

I hate (I mean.. HATE!) these "flip a coin" things because I lose too many YGO matches due to my opponent's chance stuff wrecking my shit.
This said, I don't feel like this card needs this 50% thing. And, if needed, it should have a drawback, like, "If tails, it's reverse timed".
Or take it out at all. a 5/x card is already strong enough, since early game it would be 5/25+ at least.

Just a thought: Maybe have X = cards in your deck and and?
Also, while I like the mechanic (not really the flip a coin part), having a set attack doesn't do well for this card.  I'd get rid of the flip a coin part and just have add X or 2X (for upped?).
