chimera removes all status effects.

No, it simply never had the status effects in the first place. Chimera is treated as a normal creature card, with a "remove all of your creatures" effect triggered on casting, and with atk/hp stats determined by the creatures removed this way. Thus, it can be given status effects just like any other creature.

you misunderstand youngster, It removes all statuses from existing creatures in the new creature. Chimera does not start with Adrenaline if your creatures had adrenaline, nor poison or Aflatoxin. Nor does it generate creature removal events.

actually if you have aflatoxin, sometimes chimera turns into a malignant cell.

And I think you're misunderstanding me as well. Basically what I am saying is that you can cast the chimera for free like all the other dragons, but it will also enter under a 5 turn delay. That should prevent any OTK combos with the delayed dragons

But as it is, it has an abnormal synergy with the dragons. In this case balance > theme

I dont think making chimera a dragon is the way to do it though. I have a lot of fun with chimeras from other things. it just doesnt fit.

Can't say it is much worse than Mitosilurian-SoR...

Mitosilurian-SoR = Instosis.

Fractal ruby dragons + chimera + sky blitz = very cheap FG OTK (5 cards + 4 :earth + 9 :aether + 8 :gravity + 8 :air for 240 damage). If you are familiar with OTKs, you will know this is VERY cheap. Instosis itself costs 8 cards + 12  :time + 4  :life + 12 :rainbow (which can sometimes make you lose the next quanta needed in the combo) + 8 :air + 6 :gravity for 216 damage.

So Cave-ruby dragon FGOTK costs 29 quanta and only 5 cards. Instosis (or Mitosilurian-SoR is you want to use a slightly different version) costs 42 quanta and 8 cards.
Cave is OP.

i didnt realize this at first, but the thing that makes this OP isnt chimera, or gravity pull. what makes this OP is fractal. unfortunately, cards like these are impossible to balance do to cards like fractal.

Agreed. I'd say make it immatariel as well as delayed, and it loses immatariel when not delayed.

that doesnt solve the problem. all you would have to do is play one dragon before you play cave, then fractal it FTW.

So how about making the free dragon play limited to once per turn by turning it into an activated ability
" :earth Lair: Play a dragon for free. It enters delayed 5 turns.
If Cave is destroyed all dragons take 5 damage."
Fractal and chimera are still ugly, but you only get to play 1 dragon a turn per cave, so you will have to build over several turns.
Granted, you could use several caves, but that takes a lot more time and coordination to set up.
It might still be OP, but its a definite improvement I think.
Whether the glass is half full or half empty is a moot point. It is always filled to the brim. It is only a matter of by what. The real question is: What fills you?
If your zombie plan is
kill -9 `ps l | awk '{print $2" "$3" "$9}' | grep "Z" | awk '{printf("%s ",$2)}'`
You might be a unix junky
