NOTES:
Was thinking of how to give life Pc. Don't know if life needs it, but I could always change the name and theme for another element.

Has anyone tried anything like this, and does anyone like it?

Thoughts on cost balancing would be appreciated as well.

This card may actually work for a nice, balanced PC card for :life.
Since most of :life 's creatures are only... 1-3 cost, it doesn't really do any major damage to the opponent.
The only creatures that cost more are dragon and nymph.

The only problem that I currently see is the implementation.
I think I saw someone mention earlier today that there's no current programming concept or something to allow you to target 1 card, and then the other.  So maybe you could possibly make it like butterfly effect and have it be an active skill... except only usable once.

I just also realized that in order to make this not too powerful... The upgraded version still needs to cost at least 1 :life quanta, otherwise it could be used in any Element freely instead of being constricted to a :life deck with cheap costing creatures.
cheers ^.^

Rainbow PC? Not sure that's a good idea.

Equal or lower casting cost...not a good idea considering :life is known for cheap creatures. Perhaps equal or lower +X with X being a chosen number (that can increase if upped)? Or maybe have X be something related to the creature (attack, hp, average of stats).

For upgraded, if you are going with zero cost, you also drop the quanta sign.

I personally would say this is a  :gravity card as this involves mass and charging.

Blahs hit it right on the head. I choose this form of PC for life because, IMHO, elements that don't have PC should only get a weak way to use it if any. Life based decks tend to have alot of creatures anyways, so there room for expendables.

Rainbow PC? Not sure that's a good idea.

The sacrificial part is the balancing factor. I've noticed the cheap creatures (which wouldn't work too well for general PC with this) found in most rainbows, especially Nova fueled ones, are hard to replace quickly.

For upgraded, if you are going with zero cost, you also drop the quanta sign.
Derp says I. Will have to fix that.

I personally would say this is a  :gravity card as this involves mass and charging.
I'm personally not happy with the name and art. Could think of a better way to depict a creature ramming itself in a kamikaze style way into a permanent, might improve the thematic connection to life...

Now that is quite a compelling call... actually, now that you mention it...

:T TMI abusing the listener, 20 yard penalty... lol.

Nice card though. I'm a little iffy on the upped version being colorless (maybe make it a 2 :life and 1 :life cost), but otherwise, very good job.
Slightly cheaper than other PC cost wise, but loss of card advantage due to sacrifice. Quite well balanced in my opinion.
There are 2 issues I see. The first is just a balancing point, the second is more tricky.

1) There are some upped creatures that cost less than their unupped counter parts, despite being equally or more powerful (graviton merc and fire-eater for example)... Maybe a upped cards could get a +1 to effective value?

2) A spell card can only have one chosen target. After the first target is picked, any other targeting has to be "hard wired" into the spell somehow. E.g. You can have the player choose either the creature to sacrifice or the permanent to destroy, but not both... this is tricky (but not impossible) to get around.

One option you might take would be to have this spell swap a creature's skill with the sacrifice based PC effect.
Maybe something like:
"Target ally's skill is now
0 Charge: Sacrifice to destroy a permanent of equal or lower cost (readies instantly)"

"Reckless Charge" sounds too much like a :fire call.  What if you did Wild Charge, or something that can be said to be closer to :life and the implied instinctive thrashing?

I disagree. Reckless can belong to life. Not belong exactly. You know what I mean. Think of being charged at by a herd or rhinos. (I forget, is Crash of Rhinos the proper term?)
It is the greatest mystery of all...

Yes, I understand that connection, but even so, that comes from a nature belonging more to :fire than :life
