NOTES:
When canus transforms into the creature it has the max stats of the thing that died ie: you grow a golem to 11/ 5 and it gets antimattered and you cremate it
the canus would be a 11/5 golem
When it transforms it will not keep any statuses but, so yes you can have mortal immortals (fear fractual), same applies to graboid it wouldn't be burrowed

Keep the card as death, it makes more sense that way. Has it ever occurred to you that if you eat this card with your otyugh,  it won't die because it was the creature that was killed? Could be great with lots of boneyards.

If it's eaten by an oty, it dies, and can't use it's ability. It doesn't make sense, once it's dead, to use it's ability.

I like it, seems like it could go well in different kind of decks, and maybe get some death duos out there, you don't see too many of those.

hmmm. you are right, an oty could eat it over and over, thats why skeletons do not ressurect when the boneyard is out, I believe. But, if we could make this card work, I love the idea. Great work. Maybe someone will post on how to make the mechanics of this occur properly without causing a abusable loophole.

an oty could not eat it and have it respawn as it would be dead before its ability activated as belthazar said

I see.... what if there's a firestorm or a plague and two creatures die at the same time?

creatures never die at the same time as it always has an order to it (based on positioning)

If you quinted it or momentumed it, what would happen if it turned into a creature?

I like the idea a lot. Just need some good art.

I think it is definitely fair as it stands.
