Why does need a creature with snipe? The flooding part can almost be discarded because of how unlikely it'd be (you'd need at least 6 creatures to make use of it). Also, be more specific. Does the targetted creature take more damage if it's in a flooded square, or does the turtle do more damage if its in a flooded square?

I actually had forgotten about Snipe.  What if I reduced the damage and also made the targeted spot flood for a turn?

Your wording is still unclear. I will assume you meant "Deal 6 damage if the square turtle is in is flooded". If it floods its own square, what's the point of having an unflooded and flooded shooting mechanic? What happens when turtle dies? Still flooded square?

Canon Turtle is different from Cannon Turtle. Canon Turtle is a turtle which is, well, canon, while Cannon Turtle is a turtle which can shoot, like a cannon.

Spelling aside, the wording is indeed unclear. And so, i assume the mechanics as:
1. Target a creature slot. If it's empty, flood it. If it's not, then go to 2.
2. If the slot is flooded, deal 6 damage. If not, deal 3 damage.

1 means you can almost instant CC any following creature. 2 means you can almost instant kill any creatures while acting as OE for anything else.

I understand what 'canon' is.  Just forgot the 'n' on the card as I was a bit pressed for time at the time.  At least I didn't forget it in the title.

To clarify, the extra damage is done if Cannon Turtle is in a flooded area.  I will amend text when I can.

Should I drop Water Blast damage to 2 [4 if flooded] as to not to tread on Snipe?

5|6 for a decent creature that floods itself and has a ability to deal two snipes in one turn. OP much?

You can try 2[4], but if it floods its own square, what is really the point? Perhaps you could give it a water skater passive (will go to the first flooded square as opposed to first empty square on your field), but when designing a creature, if it is good both statwise and abilitywise, be careful of OP.

Sorry, it's just a bit troublesome going through points on my 3DS...

You are paying for a efficient 5|6 creature that cannot Flood itself and currently deals damage equivalent to Snipe unless it is on a Flooded square, in which it does twice the damage to a single target.

Again, it seems there is confusion.  Even if there isn't, 'empty' does not only refer to a square being unflooded, but being void of a creature.  If a creature dies as a result of Water Blast, the square is not Flooded.

I'm sure I know how to balance a creature.  It's just been some time since I last posted a creature...

"Floods spot if empty" Which spot? Common sense would dictate that it is the spot the turtle is played in. Clarity in wording is the card designer's responsibility to make sure his point is understood the same by everyone.

On another note, is the element with the most CC in the game. Why does it need more, and will this step on other cards like squid?

5|10 warrants at least a 6.5 casting cost. Along with the useful ability it's 6?

7|15 would probably cost 9-10 based on stats alone. With the upgrade bonus it becomes 7-9, but the ability is free?

Why is adding water blast a +0 cost to the creature?

A turtle is supposed to be defensive but 10|15 hp is too much. That makes it seem like it's some kind of robot (for all I know it could be) that fits into or . Steam machine has such high hp because it is a machine. You can argue that cannon turtle is also a machine, but besides steam machine, I feel should be a more biological element.

I agree with furball. I don't get what it means by 'floods spot if empty'. Reminds me of turtzilla in Epic War Saga BTW.

I apologize for my lack of earlier clarity.  Since I had the idea in my head and its close proximity to the first half of the ability, I merely assumed that the ability would be read as the spot targeted by Water Blast.  Card text has now been amended.
