hmmmm.

Not the most useful card, but not bad. good against sofo I guess :P
Actually, I think it could be quite useful myself. It would work very well in vanilla rush decks since their higher stat to cost ratios give them an edge when the opponent has no creatures skills to work with...
Maybe someone who likes vanilla based decks like willng3 could find use for it :D

I mean not many of my decks are too dependent on creature skills. So I guess I'm just overgeneralizing everyone else?

Might be useful in arena, but I'd need some time to figure out how to use it in upped meta. nothing obvious comes to mind.
I guess this depends on how it is interpreted too...

I.e. if it only stops skills that have to be actively used and targeted, its not too useful.

If it also stops things like venom and vampire it is fairly useful.

If it even stops passive skills / traits, like scavenger, voodoo, devourer etc. Then it is VERY useful. (maybe even slightly OP)
it will be definitely OP if it affects passive skills. its already useful against Phoenix rebirth, mitosis, Mutants, Sofu , Nymphs & etc.
Its almost like a Sundial with reverse effect. the advantage depends on what kind of deck the enemy is using(phoenix ,immortal creatures and Dragons makes this card useless.).

I don't think it should be allowed to disable immaterial status... just too many balance and theme issues with that.
Whether the glass is half full or half empty is a moot point. It is always filled to the brim. It is only a matter of by what. The real question is: What fills you?

I still just don't see why you would use this card over something else.

Could you make an example deck maybe gamer?
My default opinion of a new card is OP. Your job as a card creator will have to be to convince me otherwise.

Seems like a pretty handy idea. But it seems too situational for my liking. I can see it being a dead card in a lot of situations, such as a life rush, devourer decks, aether decks, all of which are quite common. It slows down fire rushes using lava golem/destroyer, but they tend to carry a lot of deflags.

A poison deck could be slowed considerably, but not if they are using puffer fish.

Still, it's a pretty neat idea.
Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach a man to fish...and he will sit in a boat all day drinking beer.

poison deck as in the water guys? Come to think of it this really is only effective against mono water decks.... Although it does do a pretty fine job of owning a significant part of them :P

I guess the problem is I can't see an effective deck with this card. I can see situations where this would certainly come in handy, but just not frequent enough to really use this card. At least in the current meta.

Maybe making this card a quanta or two cheaper might help, like stop all abilities for 2 turns for 1 light, but even then it's a tough call.

One way this could be very useful is if its effect ends at the start of owners turn (unlike most timed permanents, that stop functioning at the end).

This allows you to get a critical timing advantage in case the opponent gets the upper hand and is oppressing any card you bring out.

Example: Suppose you have an otyugh in your hand, but your opponent has a mind flayer out already.
Normally, you would have to kill the flayer or overwhelm it with multiple otyughs.
With this card, you could stop it from functioning long enough to get your otyugh the precious time it needs to get ready.

A similar example could be made in the case of pulverizers.

If it is made cheap enough, it could also give a simple counter to discord (since scramble is an active ability)

Games can often be won and lost off of a single turn worth of advantage. If this card could allow you to claim or reclaim a lost timing advantage, I can see it as a VERY useful card.

It would also be very useful if it could stop momentum and adrenaline.

Not an error, GamerJL, though I still haven't seen an explanation about the connection between the card's make and its ability. To the casual observer (me), it appears to be called Caduceus because it needed a name, and that was all you could think of.
