The card is an awesome idea. Not much to say. Only thing necessary would be carefully balancing this card.


Artwork is copyrighted to Martin Waugh and cannot be used. Please change the card art; my suggestion would be this (http://www.sxc.hu/photo/1276254).
I recolored it from that source. I think now it would fit as this card's art more properly.


My real-life sucks. So i come online to compensate that.

Now, let's focus on a Miracle counter.
Silence already counters Miracle. However, nothing counters SoG and a counter is needed. Are SoD and Stone Skin considered as healing?
I consider them healing. Im not sure if they officially count tho... I think this card should stop the healing of them. Maybe your maximum still gets increased but you dont get the heal effect.

Interesting idea! SoGs definable counter.
the game need something like this.

What if instead of a upkeep. it drained death quanta like the entropic shield. Deaths usually got a bunch of spare quanta. maybe a 5 hp : 1  :death ratio? 

ie six shards of gratitude would absorb 6  :death a turn six vampires would do the same

If it were like this it could have a cheap cost and maybe an activated ability that lets you sacrifice it if your quanta situation gets rough
This is a great idea! However it still needs a small upkeep like: "Negate any healing effects. Absorb 1 :death per turn + 1 :death for every 5 points of healing."

So, a stone skin that heals and adds maximum hp by 75 would absorb 12 :death and stop the healing? SoD would absorb 4 :death to prevent the healig?

Im not sure if I misunderstood but i think your math is wrong there.

75/5= 15 so stone skin would take 15 :death

1 SoD would take 1:death not 4. if it took 4 quanta for every SoD this card would screw you over pretty easily.

Oops wrong for Granite Skin. Shard of Divinity= +20hp heal and maximum = 20/5 = 4  :death. I think you were mistaken and thought I said Shard of Gratitude.

ops I was mistaken! still a new guy. Dam those abbreviations ahaha

I was thinking this effect would be suiting for a Death X spell. Ive been working on a "X spell" series which adds to firebolt, stone skin, drain life and icebolt. I made cards for life and light called shrink and blinding light. I dont mean to steal the idea but I was thinking a permanent that had a similar mechanic would work.

I was thinking this wording

"Comes into play with 1 counter for every death quanta you have in your possession. whenever you opponent is healed negate it and remove a counters equal to the amount negated."

not that thats better then whats here but it would just fit into the X spell series (except its a permanent :S)
