So… ya, my attempt at a boomerang… because, who doesn't like boomerangs? Basically its a weak 1 point weapon until you play a new weapon. Then it becomes a creature and gains +2|+0. I.e. the unupgraded version turns into a 2|2 and gains +2|+0 to become a 4|2, the upgraded becomes a 4|2 and gains +2|+0 to become a 6|2. The creature created only stays in play for 2 turns (2 attacks) and then comes back to its owner's hand (not the equipped weapon slot). If you put adrenaline on the creature version, it will end up returning after the 2nd attack, which might make a good way to protect it. If the boomerang is animated by flying weapon or animate weapon, it does not get the attack power bonus. Boomerang is considered a ranged weapon and the creature it creates is considered a flying creature. SERIES:

If you can, it would be good to fit into the card text the part about returning to the hand. (You can take out 'weapon' in the second line, at least). It also reminded me of an old boomerang card (just thought I'd link it here for idea relevance)

Now, considering the uses of this card -

- As a rush card, it pales to things like Vamp Dagger or Long Sword.
- For Crusader, it's definitely a cheaper combo since it can be run as mono light, but I think that combination would only appear in Arena or some type of limited play.
- As a replacement/an alternative for Animate Weapon: it certainly gives a bit more attack power, and can in a way exceed the power of 6 AW with enough copies. Could be used in some kind of Weaponbow, which sounds cool (it would actually help one I made long ago )

So overall, interesting and thematic card, but it could use something more.

I've been fiddling with the wording on this card for a while now for exactly the reason you mention... The best I can come up with is:
"If replaced, this will become a creature for 2 turns and gain +2|+0. Returns to hand after." Which fits, but just seems a little awkward to me
If someone can come up with a better wording it would be appreciated, I just cant seem to make it all fit right...

I've also been trying to think of what I could do to add "something more", but I'm not sure what... I don't have much space left on the card but I could add something small in probably, I have no idea what that would be though.
I don't really want to tweak the damage output too much or it will overshadow the rest of the "other element" weapons too much.

Any suggestions?

Here's what I thought of for the wording:

Weapon: Deal 2 damage
If replaced, this becomes a creature for two turns, then returns to your hand.

Unless the attack bonus is a necessary part that needs to be mentioned, this wording allows you to just show the total stats in the table. However, there is the difference between flown stats and replaced stats. So how about...

Weapon: Deals two damage.
When flown, becomes a creature.
When replaced, also gains +2/+0.
After two turns/attacks, returns to hand.

Hopefully each segment fits on one line. As for the 'something else', I'm still thinking about that.

Hmm... it doesn't say anything about being flown when replaced... but using "flown" or "animate" might help with space...
It gave me an idea, what about:
"Weapon: Deals 2 damage.
Animate this weapon if it gets replaced. It gains +2|+0 and returns to hand in 2 turns."
or maybe:
"Weapon: Deals 2 damage.
If this weapon is replaced it is animated, gains +2|+0, and returns to hand in 2 turns."
