You could, on top of what it currently has, add
upon death, grants 10 HP to the controlling player.

That way, you could combine it with death or fire or gravity for some interesting syncro.

With this card absorbing from yourself to support this card. Well I can agree to that but I think that it's cast is still to high even with it being of no element. If it was to have that kind of a cost it should have another ability to kill it's self as well or one or 2 points cheaper cost.

I think adding a new effect is making it unnecessarily complex and other cards are cheaper than they look.

Furthermore, all the cards in the blood series have risky effects, so this fits with the general theme.
