but this is a weapon you can (basically) copy and add another one. you cant do that with a phase dragon (yet phase dragons still rule all other dragons)
If you get a 30 card deck, the MOST damage this weapon will EVER do is 22. Cost would be 30 aether.
I need just 3 unupped phase dragons out to do the same damage. Seems underpowered to me. Cost would be 39 aether (but you get 2 more damage too).
AND the dragons would be doing more damage overall.
Think of this scenario:
Play Aether sword *played with 22 cards left in deck
+1 every turn, dim shield as needed.
Total damage: 253
Cost: 30 Aether
With 7 aether pillars.
Play Phase dragon *played with 21 cards left in deck
dim shield as needed, play a dragon when possible.
8, 8, 8, 8, 8, 16, 16, 16, 16, 24, 24, 24, 24, 24, 24, 32, 32, 32, 32, 32, 40, 40
Total damage: 488
Obviously dragons would be better. But that isn't a great comparison since I could also play dragons WITH that weapon. But let's compare the aether sword's total damage with the lobo's.
Play Lobo *played with 22 cards left in deck
dim shield as needed.
Total damage: 110
Cost: 3 Aether (Let's say 9 since two of them got destroyed

)
So you get more than double the damage with the aether sword ***FOR THREE-TEN TIMES THE COST***, but honestly as shown before the phase dragons do plenty damage and you don't really need the extra damage. However, the lobo's ability can stifle some decks and is a great addition.
So Lobo > Aether sword and lobo isn't even the best weapon.
