(Earth Trials) Earth: Standing Strong (Series awaiting approval) https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=10740.msg132291#msg132291

Here's my series for Phase 1 of the Trials, and it's all about what it says: Standing Strong. That means big creatures with big stats, or, alternatively, standing stronger than your opponent while all their creatures are reduced to 0 attack. So, comparatively, it's the same thing. Comparatively.

In this first set, the synergy is in the fact that Gaia's can give your creature huge buffs, but also put them at much greater risk against creature control. But, if you run it with Granite Soldiers, you can eliminate the risk of that while still reaping the benefits.

If you can't spot the synergy here, you must be blind. However, even though this isn't braille, I'll spell it out anyway.

The idea is to use Fissure when your opponent has played a few big hitters or perhaps something they want to Fractal/buff later on, and then use it.  Soon after, play a Ground to reduce whatever you Burrowed to nothing or close to it. Be sure to have your Shriekers and Antlions above ground before doing so, however.

here, there is a little less synergy, but it's still there. The difficult thing is getting your upgraded Armor to stay alive, as earth has no creatures over 12 attack and no natural way to buff their attack. If we were to assume that Armor were Immortal and thus immune to Armor (Which it will be eventually, when I get around to updating it) then our best option would become the Boulder, which can skyrocket up to a massive 14/18 with Momentum creature, and let all your Armors stay alive on it. If you were to use Gaia's on the Boulder beforehand...

And thus, the deck is born:

10x Stone Tower
2x Granite Warrior (Just some fallback damage, and it's basically invincible)
2x Gaia's Blessing (Makes your Armors turn into +0/+12, or +12/+12 on a Boulder)
4x Heavy Armpor
4x Tumbling Boulder
4x Living Armor
2x Siesm
2x Ground

And there you have it, a nice little deck. You could also take out the Boulders and Heavy Armors, switch those Living Armors out for some of their unupgraded counterparts (The 7 attack off the Warriors can keep them alive) and change a few things around to come up with something a bit more balanced out:

10x Stone Tower
6x Granite Warrior
4x Gaia's Blessing
6x Living Armor (Unupgraded)
4x Rage Elixir

Mark of Fire.

In fact, you could decide to take upped Armors, adding in 2 more Elixirs for 2 of them, as the 7 damage of the Warriors plus the 6 from Elixirs gives you 13, but I wouldn't take so many Armors for that as it's a bit reliant on the other 2 cards to work.

Hope you enjoyed my little series!
I ask nothing of humanity but fairness in all things, but I do not expect even that.
