I think something along the lines of the Final Fantasy series' Bomb would be nice. Something that blows up instead of attacking if damaged, doing massive unblockable damage.

I like that, actually. Something like "When [card name] dies, it deals damage equal to its power to the opponent." I can think of lots of interesting deck ideas around this.

I've got dibs on a surprise attack deck based on this card, if it comes into being.  Aether and blessing for a start.

yeah blood the bomb is extremely similar to tornado, but it doesn't require something else to make it (unless you count blacksmith, but you don't actually NEED it to make the bombs).

6x15=90 uncopyable damage that can be blocked by shields, you're going to want death instead of aether

if you want it to deal damage when it dies, then best idea is probably to make it have 0/2, and deal either one or two damage to all creatures (or just enemies? i'm thinking chains). and 5-10 to the player.

i just thought sparks were interesting but not really strong enough to make a deck based on... (hurries off to trainer)

Terrorking, you're wrong. My Tornado doesn't require Hurricane to make it either, since you can just take 6 copies of Tornado; although, any sane person would take Cyclones and/or Hurricanes instead of Tornados.
