ART: Essence IDEA: Essence NOTES: Akin to Adrenaline, this is a permanent "status effect" attached to the weapon that goes away if your weapon is replaced, destroyed, Animated, etc.  Doesn't target the weapon, so it works with Morning Star|Morning Glory. SERIES: No series.

Speaks for itself.  Works very well within mono-Darkness, but has great applications for a variety of weapons.

You should make the images with something that produces bigger images. Small images like this won't get into Crucible.

Hmm...k.  I really like Planplan's generator, but if it must be done the 'hard' way, I'll edit the images if the card seems to be getting decent community support.

Twice maybe, but three times could be very dangerous even for the Vampire dagger (you heal for 18) along with the Fahrenheit and Arsenic (3 Poison counters) Just ouch, but effective especially for dark decks

Since Adrenaline and these abilities don't like to mix (nerfed effects), Backstab wouldn't either.

Not a bad idea.

Might be a bit overpowered if it's Darkness though because of the healing aspect of Vampire Dagger.

Also I don't like the theme at all. I see "Backstab" as something sneaky and precise, like ignoring armor or doing double damage. This card is more like "Flurry" or something.

Yeah, originally it was "x2 damage" and "x3 damage", but then you didn't get all of the cool effects like multi-Discording and whatnot, so I changed it.  Thematically, you're absolutely right.  Maybe it should be Time?  What element would you associate with Flurry Of Blows type mechanics?

Flurry of blows, when you put it like that I see an Air card, but Time could make sense in the way that it strikes more than once.

Yep, Air could work. Then again Life has Adrenaline which already does a similar multiple attack thing. One option would be to make it 'other'. I don't know..

Btw seems like the trend is to design Darkness cards. We have those almost as much as all other elements combined.

That could be because at the current moment (with Gargoyle in development) Darkness has the least number of cards in circulation. Or that the general community loves its Darkness.

It's definitely because Darkness is "cool".

Also the card template has Darkness by default and I was wondering if that had an effect? People open the template, see the Darkness card, and then start to design their own.
