I keep forgetting that the number of words on the card doesn't correlate with its complexity. x.x
Any card with an activated ability in play - For example, Fallen Druid - will automatically use its ability, without paying quanta, on itself.
In the case of fallen druid, it mutates itself.
For iridium druid, it guards itself.
Mindgate puts a copy of itself into its owner's hand.
Creatures that target permanents, such as nymph queen, or permanents that target creatures, such as lobo, still target themself. The card itself is treated like the creature/permanent it targets.
In the case of nymph queen, it kills itself and spawns a nymph queen.
In the case of lobo, it loses its ability to lobotomise other creatures.
This self-targetting ignores restrictions - Otyguh will kill itself, for example.
Activated abilities without targets trigger as normal, such as chrysaora, mitosis and golden hourglass.
...Really not as simple as I thought it was.
It has uses in the case of mitosis on a dragon, but mainly has use in the form of soft CC, comparable to lobo.
