It's like Shard of Patience. It stays in effect until you sacrifice it.

but what if your opponent uses a lot of air guys and can't stop it? isn't that unfair? this would kill my phase dragons.

1. It doesn't kill your dragon. Only stops them from attacking.
2. There are ways around it, namely, PC (permanent control: explosion, steal, etc.) Not every deck happens to bring cards to beat its counter.

Well, not all decks are equipped with PC.  And I don't think a Golem deck has to worry about Aviary...

I think an Airborne Shard Golem may be the least of your problems.  It doesn't come up often now, in my experience, and there are other more common things found in the current 'meta.'

True I guess. I don't like the feeling of being helpless against 1 card though. Although I guess this happens with a lot of cards atm.

Actually an enchant artifact on this guy would make it an unbeatable counter against certain decks. doesn't seem fair.
