Crystal is an ability like airborne for a set of creatures I am making, it does nothing on its own but their abilities will only affect Crystal creatures.
Effect can be anything that is caused by a spell or ability.  Fractal and nightmare might need special cases, not sure yet.

This is really going to be overlooked if it's dependent on card ideas still being made...

This could be interesting. It all depends on if you can get it to catch on... which will be reflected by how well you work in the "crystal" trait with some form of thematic concept.
