Interesting concept, but I think right now its far too situational.

It has potential to be immensely powerful if you use it on a creature with 1 hp left and very high max hp.

Most of the time though, its just 1 damage for 3 / 2 :underworld ... thats 10 times less efficient than lightening bolt for upped version and 2.5 times less efficient for unupped version.

Probably wouldn't see much use as it stands now.

It might make a very interesting :entropy card though... Deal a random amount of damage instead of a fixed 1 point.
You would end up with Armagdillo roulete :)

Exactly which Gravity combo are you talking about? And Gravity Pull + BB + Voodoo doll with this would be really hard to pull off, as the doll would rarely come down to just 1 HP.

Interesting, I didn't think about having a non-instant duration. If that is the  case, then the catapult combo will be WAY too OP.
The reason is that catapult has built in scaling to prevent abuse... this effect does not...

I like the idea. However I think it must be instant kill for it to be balanced( I mean for the card effect to trigger ). It would need a buff in that case, preferingly not cost decrees. I like the idea Odin had, like chaos power but damage.

First, clarification: not meant to be used as CC. It deals 1 point of damage. That's it. It does not deal it over multiple turns. It does 1 damage.

Ah, I see the confusion

I was saying that if the "deal damage to opponent equal to target's max hp" clause creates a long lasting status effect... i.e. if you kill it later that turn it triggers, then the card is too powerful with a catapult combo.
For instance, flown titan + bb + catapult + this = OTK for a 4 card combo and 1 :rainbow + 5 :gravity + 1 :earth + 4 :gravity + 2 :light
so otk for 13 :underworld and 4 cards in a trio.
That seems a little on the strong side to me.

On the other hand, if the effect only triggers if the spell itself kills the target, then this card is a little UP... or at least very situational.
It really only becomes valuable against very high HP creatures... which take a lot of work to bring down in the first place.
And as you mention, its lowsy as a CC right now.

Oh, that makes much more sense. No, it doesn't inflict a status effect.
You have to be very precise basically... Possibly a combo with Red Nymph or Owl's Eye. If really necessary you could use multiple of these on the same creature to deal 2 or 3 damage, either as (very bad) CC or to bring down the last couple hit points of your Titan.
