ART: Wikimedia IDEA: nensuru NOTES: Made this card to support rustler and forest spirit, as well as other life decks as a anti-cc method. I think the art is not good, any help here is very welcome. I also appreciate feedback on the name and the thematic of the card. --- "Negated" spells do no effect, goes back to the hand, you can pay the quanta to use it again. "Negated" abilities do no effect and stay on the field, you can use the card effect next turn When any player target one of your creatures, this card is destroyed and the card that was targeting your creature is destroyed too. Why the quanta change from unup to up?

This should definitely be written in the card somehow. Don't you think spells that target creatures make this UP? Your opponent would still be throwing a card away, but this means this is not a very reliable quanta source, as it is vulnerable to both PC and CC.

I agree but i did not manage to find space, if someone more skilled in english could help me I will be very thankful.
It certainly is UP as an quanta generator but i think is worth it to save a card that  is weak early but snowballs well, like rustler and forest spirit for example, thats the main focus of the card, the quanta generation is just to help these creatures even more

Rustlers scales better in combination with nymph/dragon+mitosis than spirit i think

And the upgrade isnt really needed in rustler decks, you can still use the unup version just to protect them from early ccs, the upgrade version is just more/cost effective and pay itself in 1 turn of quanta production

About the card text, if you don't do a line break after the "gain 1 per turn" part I think you can put "if a creature you control is targeted, destroy this card and the targetting one instead"

One thing that would make this more useful would be if you could choose whether or not to activate the anti-CC part after a creature is targetted. But this is impossible given the way the game works.

Are you sure it needs this additional effect? I think it makes it too powerful against creatures/permanents and thus difficult to balance. I'd much rather you leave it to negation only and drop the cost to 2/1.

I think this is easy enough to get around using spells (or using PC on the Aegis directly)

Yeah, but then would it cost 2/1 or 1/1? Plus, those are weaknesses indeed, but that only creates a disconnect between situations where it's UP (against CC spells) and situations where it's OP (against CC creatures), much like purify.

Negating only make a lot of sense for this card purpose, i changed the effect according to your suggestion.

As a dedicated player, I greatly approve this card! Also, I would gladly pay 1500 to have the Ruslter's synnergy; after all, Rustler is more vulnerable to CC than Forest Spirit which grows and can later resist CC damage.
Btw, its text indeed needs better English spelling.
