Entropy is known for damage inversion. This card extends that theme to the poison and purity mechanic.
The upgraded version is essentially the inverse of the unupgraded version. It was chosen this way because purity is a less common mechanic, so this makes a good choice for upgrading.
In the event that SoSac is in play, the inversions stack and effectively cancel each other out. The upgraded version would cancel the SoSac effect if used after SoSac was already running since it applies purity.
The upgraded version's purify mechanic DOES NOT remove all poison first. If the target is poisoned already, then this effect would decrement the poison count by up to 3. E.g. if the target had 2 poison counters, then after the upgraded effect, they would have 1 purity counter.

Whether the glass is half full or half empty is a moot point. It is always filled to the brim. It is only a matter of by what. The real question is: What fills you?
