ART: OdinVanguard IDEA: UndeadSpider1990 NOTES: Saplings are 1|1 vanilla life creatures with a cost of 1 . I propose this is a buff to two underused cards in the game: Flooding and Aflatoxin. SERIES:

While the title is understandable after reading, perhaps "Scatter Seeds" or similar would be even more so.
If Saplings are separate cards then there is no need to add their stats to Scatter unless it creates modified versions (see Pharaoh or Firefly Queen).

What's the aim of this card? You can't really lock down the enemy with 4 creatures, and spending 6 of this is hardly efficient (especially as it'd lock you down as well). Otyugh or Scarab fodder perhaps? Or to be buffed with SoPa?

Building a small list of potential combos:
- Flooding
- Hope
- Sop
- Empathic Bond
- Dry Spell
- Aflatoxin (Makes sure enemy has a creature to target + lockdown faster)

Because you could fill your opponent's safe-slots as soon as the first turn, so anything else they play will go straight into flood range unless they use removal. You could then limit the creatures in your deck to Water Creatures.

I didn't think of Aflatoxin before at all but I think this would combo with it really well.

I like the Empathic Bond and SoP interaction potential quite a bit.

It would be kind of neat to have a series or something to go with this. E.g. introduce other cards that create / interact with the saplings somehow.

Shard of Patience probably breaks this card slightly more than you'd like to anticipate.

It can be argued that we're making a 5 | 1 for 3 | 2 that's very easy to control. Not too bad, all things considered, but definitely something worth being cautious about... Especially since you can SoPa them all to oblivion.

SoPa will indeed be a trick to balance. For those interested, they can check out various threads on Alpha Wolf variants in openEtG (alpha wolf spawns 3 wolves, a 2|2 alpha and two 2|1 pack wolves).
Its quite effective, but not brokenly so... I'm not sure how this variant will play out though, nor if that will hold under current EtG meta which has less CC options than openEtG right now.

Glad you like the art. Wasn't sure what to do with it when the card I made it for a few use ago ended up a bust.
