The next in my series of opposing elements cards! Dun-da-dah!  :earth  :air

Sand Storm!

It's a  :earth :earth :earth :earth permanent, at the end of each turn, all non buried creatures have a chance to have their attack doubled, or to be buried.

It's upgrade, Simoom, would deal 1 damage to each creature for  :air :air :air :air :air*

* this would include buried creatures
** Buried creatures pay 2 random quanta to unbury

I think the effects are to powerful, it would for example kill a nymph queen or totally ruin a deck of low cost creatures.

I wanted it to give -1/-1 to attack creatures until the beginning of their next turn, but I wasn't sure how to word that

any suggestions?

That way it wouln't kill a low health creature so long as the opponent upped it's health.

or maybe increase the cost

I think the idea is solid, it just needs some tweaking

http://elementswiki.co.cc/ 3 row Nymph queen.

The problem is that even if its just for 1 turn it will kill up to 23 1/1 or 2/2 creature. Okay rain of fire does 3 damage to all creatures, but I my opinion is that we don't need any more mass damage effects. Example Earth fire deck this card + rain of fire kills all creature with a hp of 5 or less.

yes, but it's also not the until they attack, giving players time to upgrade their creatures, such as increasing their life or giving them immortality

I like the idea, but I might have done something a wee bit differently.

Creatures have a 50% to get thrown up in the air and gain ability dive, and a 50% chance to be buried.

So half your cards get double the attack, and half your cards get half the attack.  Make it an instant, and it's awesome.

that'd be cool, my only thing is if one were an instant, I'd want them all too be instant

my set of opposites that is

Then make it a permanent, that says at the end of your turn, creatures that aren't buried have a 50% chance to be buried and a 50% chance to double their attack power.  So eventually, everything becomes buried.  Yay!!!!!  Would pwn in an earth deck where cards could unbury themselves.
