Bloodshadow
NOTES:
Yes, the Drain Life | Siphon Life ability is exactly the same as the spell. Drain 2 HP from the target for every 10 :darkness you possess.

The weapon does no damage on its own.

This is my personal weapon. It focuses the user's energy into a single devastating strike. It has no standard attack because the Drain Life ability is its standard attack.

IDK, it's basically a more expensive less reliable 7th drain life, or repeatable-ish hard CC for darkness.

I don't think this should be classified as a weapon. All weapons have the "deal X damage at the end of the turn" passive, whereas this does not. (and the ability isn't reusable when multiple copies are flown...)

7th?

My hands here are divided. On one hand, i like that it's not a 'deal x damage every turn' weapon, but on the other hand i feel it's a bit UP.
The 'Drain all  :darkness is i feel not much worth it when compared to the normal spell, which is much safer in the hand than waiting to be deflagged or something.
I suppose it's like Fahrenheit scaling-wise, but Fahrenheit doesn't drain quanta.

My suggestion is to make this drain life from a random target each turn and upgrade to non random targets. Or something like that.
It is the greatest mystery of all...

No. My pride will not allow it. My personal weapon does not have such a lack of finesse and control as to target randomly. But then it would be insanely overpowered if it's just a Drain Life on a stick.

Though it has an automatic skill. If Anathema has only a trigger skill, then the "weapon" denotation serves no purpose other than to put it into the weapon slot. I think there should be an automatically triggered secondary skill... To go along with the theme, perhaps something like "Weapon: when targeted, switch target to another friendly non-pillar permanent if possible. :darkness :darkness :darkness: Drain Life, then consume half of your  :darkness."?

It's a weapon so you can't have multiple copies on your field unless you fly or endow them.

Think of it this way. Whenever you use the Drain Life ability, you stab your opponent with this weapon. It does not have a standard attack because the Drain Life is its standard attack.

Metacaster (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,4032.0.html) is another example of a weapon with no "physical" attack.

Drain half was definitely a good change - it makes endowing and animation worthwhile.

It's a nice card but I can't help but wonder what makes me want to play this over vampire stiletto? Stiletto does damage, heals you with out paying quanta and costs a lot less.
