Primarily designed to serve as a strong anti-CC card. Can be splashed into ;darkness duos easily using nova or immolation. Also has very strong synergy with butterfly effect and earthquake. Should not trigger off of 'Steal'. This will help enforce off element requirements as an offensive card, while sill allowing it to be useful defensively. Damage per shrapnel may need some tweaking. This would probably need to be considered spell damage to allow players to use mirror shields as protection. SERIES:

I'm hoping that it is balanced out somewhat by the fact that this thing can be CC'd before the owner can detonate it.

I realize that there is analogy here with unstable gas. The PC vulnerability should be a larger counterweight though, since mass CC can help handle swarm strategies (while also taking down cloak protection as well).

I'm at a bit of a loss on where to start with balancing so some kind of help with the cost theory / balance would be useful.

Because pillars/pendulums/towers can be destroyed 3 at once, I suggest changing non-shield to non-pillar/non-pendulum/non-tower.

Yes... basically, it is a walking bomb... or maybe more of a rolling bomb since it has wheels...

I was rolling that around myself for a while, but I think it might be fine as is... at least the unupped version anyway.
The reason is that using this plus E.Q. effects requires at least 3 quanta types... 4 if you want to combo with trident...
At that point it would require some significant deck building skills to pull off a stable and competitive build.
I think the unupped is pretty safe in that respect, since it costs 6 , that means mono dark with earth mark and probably novas as well.

The upped version might be a little more feasible for E.Q. combo...

The question is, will this combo be OP enough to warrant the nerf?

With upped, I could see something like Fractal+SoP. Build construction would be like SoP RoL/Hope. Granted, the quanta might still be tricky to make out right.
