Someone mentioned the 'faceless one' - I don't know what that is, exactly, but it was something to do with splitting and absorbing and splitting and absorbing andsplittingandabsorbingandsplittingandabsorbingandsplittingandabsorbing....and so on. It's kind of like the Blob card that was sugegested a while ago.

So how about an Amoeba card?

Element - Water
Cost - Unknown, potentially really powerful, so quite high
HP - 6, so it can't be killed straight away - this is part of its strength.
Attack - 0, otherwise it would be waaaay overpowered.
Passive ability 1 - Osmosis - Every turn, absorb 1 random quantum from opponent. Gain 1 HP if quantum is absorbed.
Passive ability 2 - Gelatinous - When Amoeba takes physical (ie, not poison) damage (but not if it is killed) it copies itself exactly as it is after it takes damage.

This could get really, really, really annoying if used in the right way. If you don't have decent creature control, you're quantum-locked. Elite Otyughs should get rid if this fine, just lower its health a touch, then...OM NOM NOM NOM NOM! Twice, of course, becuse it splits.

So kind of like a devourer, except for water?

I'm thinking let it build up a few turns, let your devourers eat any opponents creatures that do more than one damage then Gravity Pull :)

Real problem here comes from Heavy Armor, or more aptly, Improved Blessing.  Once it gets actual attack power along with it's extra HP, and starts splitting, it literally becomes the only weapon you need.  Talk about the perfect counter to Fire Storm! :)

The only real way to deal with it would be to Plague it and then sit tight until they're all dead. :(

This is kind of like the good old Gelatinous Cube from Dungeons & Dragons. I was actually going to copy D&D myself and do a Aether Hero card with this same "copies itself after taking damage" ability. A creature like that would be pretty cool.

Unfortunately I think this card is too complicated. It's like 2 creatures in one: Devourer v2. + Copies itself-guy. You would need 50+ words to explain what this creature would do, and that's way too much.

Why not just drop that Osmosis ability and give the creature attack?

i think splitting is cool, but why not just make that the ability?

Mitosis: splits the card into a copy of itself with half the attack and damage

i think that would probably be fairly easy for coding, with what happens after dive (attack in half, no it doesn't return to original because if you bless after dive then it still gains, but not the whole 3/3)and the PU ability
I ask nothing of humanity but fairness in all things, but I do not expect even that.

no idea what this has to do with a creature from spirited away, but what every, Ilike the card idea, the issue as usual is how to balance it with the possible card combinations.  Put infect on this thing and you have a 6 turn lock down on their mana (21 mana stolen total), then mutate the 0/1's to build a temporary army, stir and repeat.

No, because as I said at the start, it only spilts when it takes physical damage, not poison
.

I love this card, mainly the healing factor it has.
