Maybe abusable in combination with nightmare an GotP. Anyway, forced discard is very powerful you might want to increase the cost.

Don't see problem in its cost but in difference between number of your disarded cards and opponent's maybe the number of cards shoul be equal.
And as you said totaly abusable with Gotp and Nightm. you play Brain trauma, Nightmare Gotp and then amnesia again that's 104 Damage !!!!!!

Maybe ability can be changed so that cards discarded can be chosen, and up to 2 cards can be discarded, etc.

Or simply discard one at random.  That'd make a nice tie in to the GotP/Nightmare deal, without making it OP.

How are you gonna get GotP, Nightmare, and another Amnesia from 1 card?

Actually you could do alot more then that if you had the required quanta... Come to think of it, you can make a very good OTK with GotP/nightmare + this and perhaps a little luck

Hand discard is one of those taboo parts of Elements that shouldn't be messed around with.

The fact that it's so inexpensive to cast makes it so very easy to abuse in a PSNbow like this to abuse it:

Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
6u3 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u3 6ux 6ux 6ux 6ux 6ve 6ve 6ve 6ve 6ve 6ve 71a 74f 77j 7dm 7dm 7n0 7qe 7qe 7qe 7qe 7th 7th 80k 80k 8ps

Blank cards are Amnesia.

The quanta base allows for an insanely fast launch of the GotP+Nightmare+Amnesia combo that it's ridiculously OP.

This warrants either an increase in casting cost, a toning down of the effect, or a mixture of the two.

I like how EtG players are afraid of any sort of combo. Against most control decks you're banking on emptying their hand with amnesia and then getting the combo and still hoping they felt it necessary to play their other cards.

the issue with this card however starts with deleting cards from someones hand, a taboo for one card, let alone all.  but this basically functions as a explosion/freeze+sonic for all cards in the persons hand and takes denial to another level.  the ghost of the past stuff is just some cream on top of the OP pie.
