Change "if killed" to "If killed by opponent". As of now, too easy to die by your own pandy or cremation making it OP.

The idea would be to have the casting cost + the assisted suicide cost equal the card advantage generated.

Are there any shards that IF balanced individually would be OP when breaking the 6 limit?
SoG could result in total Regen. However that can be overcome or disrupted.
SoSac can be neutered. However it does act like Dim Shield.

personally i try to avoid using 'on death' mechanics in elements other than death, and i would suggest changing it from 'killed' to 'targeted' for that reason.

on a side note, i love that you consolidated the series into a single card post, little on this forum annoys me more than floods of series posts.

I agree.

Unfortunately I'm working on a series right now (not a gem series), and according to Kuro I'm going to need to make a thread for each one... so don't hate it too much ;)

Anyways, I'm still trying to decide how I want to do the Gem series as a whole; I think relating each card to shards is great thematically considering a "shard" is traditionally a piece of a stone/rock/gem.  Thanks for the advice all

Woah... 2 SoSes? that is a possible SIX card generation :o
So it's a creature that acts like a :entropy pillar AND it has the possibility of actually being 6 cards in a deck, like how SoSe is pretty much drawing 3 cards from your deck in 1 turn.

I think that it probably shouldn't generate the extra :entropy quanta, also I agree with furball, it should be if it's "killed on opponent's turn" or something so you can't kill it yourself.  Leaving to the possibility that your opponent kills it on accident, that would make it more reasonable.
Although that may get rid of poison... but you can also poison it yourself too...
cheers ^.^

I like the card idea of a creature that can grant new cards when killed, but 2x SoSe is too big of a card advantage. Particularly since it can be coupled with Immolate as essentially a 2 cards for 6 cards combo.

if the mechanic you are working on for the gems is not novel for each respective gem (as in they do not form shards, just this one), i encourage you to only submit one as a representative of the set, similar to what was done with amethyst machine (or was it turbine or some other name? it was a quanta generator).

@blahs15 I think that is a great idea to save this card and make it more unique; the owner isn't allowed to harm the card.  Prevents making certain shards/cremation combos from being overpowered!  I like it, will change soon.

@moomoose I'm working on a different series now, but if/when I do the Gem series, I haven't decided if each will have a unique mechanic, but will adjust my posting to habits to the appropriate method once decided.
