mmm, maybe you could add "target shield without counters" or maybe make it return a weapon and a shield and pay  :air :air, or return a  :light shield and  :air weapon, etc

 and i think the alternative cost should be reaised due to  :light :air already have interactions, so the mixed colours wouldnt hinder much the card

i really like this concept of "recycling" or "sacrifice"

Costs like what is being suggested here.for the skill can't be coded.  A hybrid cost can.  See the Pseudo Element crucible for examples .

Do you mean having an alternative casting cost cannot be coded? If thats the case then I probably am unable to have any summoning restrictions too?

You cannot use any cost that uses a fixed amount of two or more elements.

I have two ideas how I would change it and I want to know what you guys think is better.

The first is simply bump the upped cost to 4  :air.

The second is to remove the secondary summing condition and instead have a skill like:

Pay 3 of your mark to swap a weapon or shield with one in your hand.

I like the second idea because then you could run a variety of shields and weapons.

I decided I liked the swapping because it allows you play a variety of shields.
