Does damage reduction(DR) affect poison and infection?

I agree that an increase from DR1 to DR2 is worth +3 quanta (reduced by upgrade bonus to 2)

I am a little worried about the stacking but it might be okay.

Furthermore I really like the idea of DR in Earth. It seems appropriate.

yes  poison (1-2) too  this is a little combo with vampire bottle that affect poison to your creature.  but only for creature.  like other shield that can't reduce damage from poison to yourself.

come to think of it...  or else it shouldn't?

yes  i'm don't think this card effect that can stack will be OP  cuz hope still can have more defence that this card.

The stacking would only be a problem in that it can create mass creature DR 6 (at which point only Bolts and Gravity Pull would work as CC)

However with mass stacking DR being on a weapon, I am not sure if it is fast enough or cheap enough to be a concern.

I think DR should mitigate Infection(skill) but not Poison(skill). However I am not sure if a Darkness|Earth duo is sufficient to justify vampiric obsidian dragons.

It's a weapon, I don't think it can stack at all.

@Anonymous: Use Animate Weapon and play another one: you got 2 weapons. Use AW again and play another one: you got 3 weapons. If it stacks that'd be 3 points of DR, and now play Diamond Shield and you have 6. The max you can get this way is 15 (6 Guardian, 6 AW, 6 TU, 1 Diamond Shield).

Anyways, it costs 36 and 6 , and it requires 12 cards! I doubt anyone can actually go that far in a regular basis.

for me.  no matter it can gen DR   you still can CC with some card.  eternity, devour. maxwell.  gravity pull.   it's harder to CC,  but it still can be CC.   don't even think that if you really really wanna protect your creature.  why don't you use anubis or aether nymph?   this way i'm sure it will be faster than this.

and about for yourself defence.  don't forget that hope can be easily to do that defence.  with 3 card it can have 5-8 defence.  but if you use only 3 card with Guardian   you can do only 'Guardian > AW > new Guardian'   and it's only 4 defence for you.
