Alchemy / Improved Alchemy https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=4961.msg49407#msg49407

So I was thinking...
and thinking...
and thinking...

And then I thought, "I'd better do my work." But then I got another thought.

...and another...
and I'll stop now. I thought, all the elements have Alchemy cards except "Other". So why not make an Alchemy card for Other? And why not make it work sort of like Nymph's Tears? The Nymph's Tears mechanic was very interesting, so I decided to repeat it.

Well, it's actually more like Immolation, and the Immolation mechanic is cool too OKAY I'll stop, here's the idea.

Alchemy / Improved Alchemy
8 random / 7 random
Sacrifice one of your creatures. Draw an Alchemy card from the element of the target creature. /
Sacrifice one of your creatures. Draw an upgraded Alchemy card from the element of the target creature.

Notes:

It adds a card to the top of your deck. Yes, it helps with anti-deckout. Yes, if you use it on a Malignant Cell, it'll generate another Alchemy card. Tough luck.

Discuss.

I like the idea would work well with FFQ just sacrifice fireflies to get a UG :D which is one of the best alchemy cards.

You just couldn't keep the idea to yourself huh.

Haha just kidding.

Yea.  That, and using malignant cell it's an infinite anti-deck out that doesn't require eternity and won't cause you to lose if it's the bottom card on your deck.  You'd be able to pull it off with a single quantum pillar, and your opponent wouldn't be able to stop you except by quanta pinch.

It's pretty much overpowered.

If you wanted to make an alchemy card for other... call it smoke bomb.  Sacrifice it, and your HP becomes hidden from view.  Or something.  I don't really know.

Yeah... With creature generators, this could be really OP.

It's a good idea, but just for this once I have no idea how to balance it.
To be or not to be, I can do both at once. Go learn quantum mechanics, n00b.

yep when i heard cells gave another alchemy i realized its WAY too OP.  permanent deck out tool along with (thinking of cells) free oty fodder and druid fodder.

is this one so powerful? you will only be allowed 6 in a deck and that means less pillars and all the other cards you'll need... You still have to play the cost of the alchemy cards as well

DOH! *punches self in face*

By itself it is fine... But in Nymph form, it's insanely overpowered. The Nymph has to be 0/1 and costs 10 random to use its ability or something...

Yeah, I was kind of confused when everyone was like "Anti-deckout! Infinite spam!" Because I didn't see that.

Okay. Increasing cost to 8 random / 7 random. Nymph form:

Rainbow Nymph / Spectrum Nymph
9 random / 9 random
1|1 / 1|1
10 random / 9 random: Alchemy. Sacrifice one of your creatures. Draw an /upgraded/ Alchemy card from the element of the target creature.

I don't know. Can this idea be salvaged? I'm not sure...

Is it really, Wisemage? Instead of downplaying it without any explanation, would you care to explain exactly why you chose to comment so negatively?
