I agree partly with you. I think cost may be increase to 1 with this stat etc, but it's no much stronger than hourglass because you have to pay everytime the cost.

Hourglass in 4 turns:
+3 cards, cost 7 :time

Alchemist in 4 turns:
+4 cards, cost 12 :water, or 16 :water with cost 4

Maybe becaus ea scientist, and not a fighter like other creatures...in each case...you can change the name of the ability... i could've called it bounce and it would be all over. The reason is already exlain in page 1

@winter: basically, noone, unless i put it with 1 HP and the opponent as firewall i guess

Just a suggestion for the ability, while "Distrust" is a good name in some ways, it comes off as too :darkness.  How would "Flee" or any synonyms work, seeing, as you said, it isn't a fighter, per se.
