as much as I hate making this card less powerful, yes I think it should have a turn limit.  maybe make it last for only 3 turns.  and in my opinion, I think it should stay a spell and same cost.  How many permanents do you see that amplify or even deal damage to creatures besides shields/weapons?  none...
