It could fit but I'm not sure for the word Glaive ...

glaive: noun (literary) a sword; Pronunciation:/gleɪv/

Origin: Middle English (denoting a lance or halberd): from Old French, apparently from Latin gladius 'sword'

It's actually a polearm, go to google images and you should find a polearm weapon shaped like a blade. Glaives have many variations actually.

Found this on wikipedia:  A glaive is a European polearm weapon, consisting of a single-edged blade on the end of a pole.

It looks okay, but what does a 'Spear' or 'Glaive' deal more damage when you're an Aether elemental?

With the Long Bow, it makes sense because you're manipulating the air currents to affect the arrow. With Gavel, it makes sense because you as an Earth or Gravity elemental already know how to cause a massive swing with the physical prowess of those elements.

I dunno, maybe the aether elemental makes it able to pierce his armor easier by  cutting the dimesion open and hitting the enemy through it?

The spear is normally known as a "energy casted" weapon. You may have heard of stuff like lightning spears. It also looks like a thunderbolt that's why.
