NOTES:
It's time for the Winter Solstice, the day is the shortest its been all year. And now the night will soon be upon us. We have only enough time to harvest half the Pillars Crop.

Basically all pillars and pendulums produce 0.5 quanta until the start of your next turn. Meaning 2 pillars will produce 1 quanta.
All quanta produced is rounded up though, so 3 pillars produce 2 quanta.

This can be used after you rush out your combo then slow down your opponents with this.

This can be used to help you rush out your combo at the price of speeding up your opponents with this.

In the case only one pillar is present during Moon's Winster Solstice activation, is it rounded down to 0 or do we keep one quanta? Does this also affect normal Mark and it's stack (subsequent mark cards?)

I feel like the Moon's Winster Solstice should cost a bit less, but I'm not sure. (The skill, not the card.)

It is rounded down, and unless marks are counted as pillars then no they are not effected. Also Winter solstice when combined with devourer, can become very powerful if used properly, but also higher costs make it not so deadly.

Rounded down you say... that might punish too hard against single pillar fields. It's Water/Darkness, so this could easily go into SoaPest decks and deny a lot harder.

That is the reason for the cost, though I guess yes rounded down one pillar would be to deadly so I should round up

How do I generate half a quanta?
Do I get one quanta every other turn?
Or do we generate quanta in total and just half and round down the quanta reduced?

This option. Although it should be round up now.

I'm more interested in the summer solstice.
It seems very easy to break with just one light pillar and tons of fire everywhere.

I'd rather use double and half as opposed to percentages, because they're nicer and easier to wrap your head around.

Yes how it works, it would have to be generate full, then dived by 2 and round up.

How do you break summer solstice? It just doubles quanta generation for 1 turn, so each pillar generates quanta, and then generates again.

Also why are percentages so hard, I would think they would be easier?

Pretty good cards. I like the theme, and how you incorporated that into the contrasting mechanics.

No clue if they're balanced or not; eyeballing it, the fire one is just about right, while the water one may be a bit under-powered. Generating quanta should cost more than denying quanta, as the average 30-card deck currently used in the meta generally wants less and less pillars. However, if the fire card is expensive enough to use consistently then you won't have enough equally-expensive cards to make use of your spike in regular quanta production. On the other hand, if the water card is affordable enough to combo with other denial cards such as Devourer, Black Hole, and Discord, then it could lead to OP denial decks. Which leads me to conclude, again, I have no clue about this card's balance.

I don't like abilities that can pay for them self.
The fire's card ability can pay for itself. Just give it a light pillar and done.
As far as quanta denial is concerned though, I think such things are only ungodly early on, and moon's casted later.

The ability may pay for itself, however it also gives your opponent more quanta to spend. Meaning your rush deck could be easily destroyed by a normally slow deck, because of the Sun.

Oh and doesn't pay for itself?
